How we can help you

Our service is packaged into three parts: Analysis, Implementation and Building Capability. We offer these services individually as well as part of an overall package. Please see below for further details.

Analysis

We work with your organisation to produce an audit providing an analysis of your current approach or capability to engage with public sector requirements, identifying gaps in the bidding process, market engagement and customer relationships. We produce a report which provides an in-depth breakdown of your approach and  bespoke recommendations for your organisation.

The report covers the following areas:

  • Opportunities analysis, both contracts and frameworks
  • Analysis of PQQ/SSQ and ITT responses and overall bidding strategy
  • Bid presentation analysis
  • Commercial capability analysis of your team
  • Competitor comparison
  • Buyer relationships analysis
  • Recommendations for development

Implementation

Work with you to create a plan for implementing recommendations identified in your audit. This plan covers short-term, medium-term and long-term objectives, workforce planning and task prioritisation.

We project manage this process keeping track of progress and highlighting areas of risk and how to mitigate them. We clarify scope and responsibilities and work with you to ensure we deliver against the objectives.

We do this by embedding ourselves in your business for an agreed period of time to facilitate problem-solving, implementing new ways of working and to provide insight for best practice. Following initial implementation, we schedule two review points to address progress to ensure you are maximising your potential.

Building Capability

We offer three workshops to develop the capability and knowledge of your staff, tailoring it to the gaps identified in the audit:

1. Government procurement processes

This looks at how government buys goods and services, what internal approval processes it goes through, the decision making process for selecting suppliers, the timescales involved and how you can facilitate the overall process.

2. Best practice bid writing for pre-qualification/Standard Selection Questionnaire (PQQ/SSQ) and invitation to tender (ITT)

This covers what departments look for in responses,  what content to include at which stage, how to maximise your chances of succeeding and how to get useful feedback on bids.

3. Developing presentation skills to maximise delivery impact

This covers what the purpose of the presentation phase is, what type of resources should be used while presenting, what blend of skills and capability presenters should have, how to deliver your presentation effectively and how to respond to buyer questions.
